Do the corn remover pads work at removing corns

These corn remover pads are often used to try and get rid of corns on the toes. These corn pads contain an low dose of an acid that are supposed to eat away at or destroy the corn. The problem is that they do not always do this for several reasons: the salicylic acid in the corn remover pads can’t tell what is a corn and what is normal skin, so it will just eat into whatever you put it on, including the normal skin. They also have nothing to do with what might be causing the corn and unless that is dealt with, even if the corn remover pad does remove some of the corn without destroying too much of the normal skin, it is going to come back. There is a reason why podiatrists do not recommencement them. They only way to get rid of corn permanently is to get rid of the cause, which is the excessive pressure an the area where the corn is.
