Dealing with calcaneal apophysitis

Calcaneal Apophysitis is the more correct name for what is much more commonly called Severs Disease. This affects the heel bone in children. It is a disorder of the growing plate that will go away eventually when growth stops, but does need to be treated as it can be painful and limit activity levels. Calcaneal apophysitis is usually with shock absorbing heel pads and carefully monitoring and managing the running and sport activity levels of the child.
